- VL Flock: Rayon-based fabric that has been electrostatically flocked with a low-gloss nylon pile. It's total reflectance rate in the visible light range is less than 0.5%! Cost effective for larger projects such as making a darkroom or as a black backdrop for photography. However, as a drawback of the flocking process, little bits of dust may be generated due to fiber loss, so please be careful when applying it somewhere where cleanliness is a top priority or in internal parts of precision equipment. Furthermore, since it does not have infrared reflection suppressing properties, it may appear as black with a reddish tint when photographed with cameras with wide wavelength sensitivity.
