Planting & Growing Instructions. Aconite are supplied as dark brown small round bulbs. It's advised to soak bulbs in water for a few hours prior to planting to wake them from dormancy.. Plant at least 3-5cm deep and watch as they will appear as early as January/February. Plant in a well drained area of the garden, in either full sun or in the shade. Take some precautions to discourage slugs as they are often attracted to these clump-forming perennials.
